Welcome to Our Website

This website was created so that friends and family can enjoy seeing the photos we take on our backpacking and hiking adventures. We hope you enjoy looking at the photos as much as we enjoy taking them.

What's Next?

How about a July 4th camping and fishing trip with family! We'll be going to Lake Bardwell near Ennis, Texas, for camping and fishing. Kim and his family will be joining Rhonda's family ~ that's 9 adults, 9 kids, and 1 teenager. We'll be eating, swimming, eating, fishing, camping, eating, singing around the campfire, and eating. Friday night (the 4th) is brisket and burger night. Saturday night is a fish fry. Did I mention we'll be eating? Oh, and there'll be lots of photos posted here later.

New: The Grand Canyon

Kim's 15th trip (5th Rim-to-Rim) and Rhonda's first.
We left home on June 6 and returned on the June 18, 2008. It was wonderful. Rhonda made it out (alive) and earned her "Rim-2-Rim" T-shirt. Wow. How can you explain something like that? You can't. But, we've plenty of photos for you to check out. Click here to get started!

Kim and Rhonda's Adventures

Kim is an experienced backpacker.
Rhonda has a lot of catching up to do.

Guadalupe Mountains NP, March 2008

During Spring Break, we drove to Pine Springs Campground at the southern part of Guadalupe Mountains National Park where we set up camp. The first day was a hike to McKittrick Canyon and the Pratt Cabin. On the second day, we backpacked up the Tejas Trail to Bush Peak; the last two hours of hiking was by moonlight. We camped there overnight then hiked back down to the base camp. Awesome!
